Chips are my comfort food, too, but I have been wanting to avoid it for a long time because of its salt content. What I want to do is eat a piece of carrot or a few slices of cucumber as my snack instead of chips but it can be difficult to resist the temptation.

You are not alone. It is hard to change this unless it is part of an overall change to your eating.

As I say in my post, at least go organic and you will miss some of the problems.
