Entry for @mariannewest's Day 1308 freewrite contest

People think dinosaurs are the only thing that has dominated the planet before the age of mankind, or rather, mammals. Like there was only one big meteor, big enough that had less to a mass extinction. But there have been three of them BEFORE dinosaurs. That's what I've seen in a documentary, but you can find online about it too if you google for mass extinction events. Google will tell you there have been five of them in total. Dinosaurs were merely the previous ones. They're in pop culture. But we do know something about what came before.

I can tell you right now, the previous age of mammals had tall, muscular bipeds. That's what I remember. I have read about what the other mass extinction events decimated too, but I don't remember what were the predominant species. By the way, meteors have caused four of these global genocides. Only one planet reset has been caused by something else. Bacteria exterminated everything in that one time. There had been an extreme unbalance in atmospheric levels, which led to lethal organisms which are usually in the water to travel above water.

In the spirit of improv, I decided against researching this up again. But this is not fiction.
