Splinter - Day 10 of the 5 Minute Freewrite
There's a carpenter, beyond the forest, there on the plateau, where the pines wheedle their way, letting the beeches trees behind. Ancient gestures give life to the door, a forgotten wisdom renews itself once more. Never again her laughter will adorn this home. Every door is in this door.
There's a splinter just right there, the carpenter polishes the plank, the cry of a child has been tamed before born. There are splinters that the carpenter cannot polish, the flesh will keep bleeding till there will be blood to spill. A splinter, a bullet, a frozen shard. Every wound is one only wound.
