Day 133: 5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday - Prompt: the attic

It was hard to believe in the supernatural - spirits, ghosts and other scary monsters were all just figment of our imagination - or so Bill thought. As a child Bill has heard all of the stories about ghosts living in people attics and never believed a word of it ( he didn't have an attic asa child anyway so what did he have to be scared of?).

As he grew up and had his own children he loved to tell light hearted stories about the supernatural - it helped when he didn't believe in it himself. One night after the children had gone to bed he heard a rustling noise coming from upstairs - surely its nothing he thought what could it be. He decided to go and investigate an see what the noise was. The attic was packed full of allsorts of junk and he stumbled around for the lightswitch - when he turned it on he heard a shouting noise (not what he expected). Around the corner he saw a homeless looking person lying in the corner. After some discussion and investigation, he had found that the person had climbed in from the outside and had been sleeping there for the last few nights - although this was the first time he had heard them make a noise. Bill agreed to let the homeless man sleep in their attic - he figured what's the worst that can happen. He might even keep the ghosts away!
