by the way if your contest is about photography why you don't add tag : photography ? look how much tags you can use here : https://steemit.com/tags
click on Ctrl and F and write in the search bar photography
in each post about this contest write different tags and I am almost sure you will find participants.
I used quite a bit of tags all ready, it is as much about writing as photography. I think it would have a good chance, once it takes of. But getting it of is a difficult thing.
try also to coopirate with others that do contests, it's a good idea I think also !
