The Female Gender, Patience As A Virtue.

in #freewrite6 years ago

A Yoruba adage says:
Bi esin ba dani
A ma tun gun ni

translation

When you fall down from a horse
You climb back and ride it again.

I've actually put down more than 200words for today's prompt, so I decided to get a befitting picture before I could come back to my page the whole write-ups gone. What! I was destabilized, don't even know what to do, as am typing am more than ever confused, I feel the spirit of #freewrite just depart from me. But ill try to put something down. possibly remember what I put down and regurgitate it back.

The female folks have always been shut down from time immemorial, the book of Genesis didn't record them well but there mistake, starting from Eve to Delilah, thanks to the Catholic for making Mary an effigy to pray to. That balanced it after all.

Is this act a deliberate act by history and philosophy to hide this gender, is there a secret that lies in this gender able to multitask activity more than a fifth-generation AI? Talk of a gender able to give birth and nurse till adult put food on the table (theoretically, practically, figuratively) while satisfying the husband at home, takes the blame for almost everything that goes wrong at home and when the kid brought home a good result it bears the surname: The husband's name.

I once read a book by Robert Langdon where he stresses the idea of a female messiah, a kind of Holy grail, a book by Lewis Pardue too: The Daughter of God* talks about a female messiah.

This shouldn't be confused with the bible stance that the husband is the head of the house. Or maybe the bible was edited to suit the writer\interpreter purpose who knows.

To balance it, am going to tell you a different story. For the women reading this, I don't want their head to get too pumped up.

So many years back. This couple moved into our neighbourhood, both the husband and wife were bank officials, then the back shake-up happened and the husband was sacked while the wife in her other bank wasn't, making her the breadwinner. After some months the wife couldn't bear the fact that she is the one to put the food on the table and the home, she went out, got a divorce and left the man. The husband got a job as a teacher, a year after another bank shake-up occurred, this time there was a bank merging, the wife was sacked and a new manager was needed, the husband was called back and made the bank manager with a good pay, the wife now wants back into the bouse but the husband didn't let her in anymore.

Patience is trully a virtue

Liked the first part and wonder about the banker's story after the fear of puffing heads? It's difficult to tell what goes on with people behind closed doors, but it might not have been about money?
So, I say, continue to open that door--the one that lets her head inflate while her feet are strongly rooted. You know, stand up straight.
Glad you wrote and weren't discouraged after losing all the first time.

Waoh, thanks for your reply.

My head was just goin through so many things while writing.

That was a fun read. I really like the ending. Only if she would have had the foresight to see what was going to happen, then maybe she could have been even more patient.

The male dominated world that we live in likes to dismiss the contributions women have made. Many of us are afraid of getting close to our feminine aspects.

What goes around, comes around. I think that was a wise decision not to let her back into the house because it sounds like she is just using him. My daughter is an impatient person (not about this subject) and I have said to her many times, "Patience is a virtue that you do not have and must learn."
