A YEAR REMEMBRANCE : Understanding the second World War
One year has passed, my grandpa still mourns at the outcome of the war, he cursed under his breath why Mussolini had betrayed the German army, his ambiguous stretch of the army has cost us this horrible outcome, the German army is stressed across all borders, they took the loophole to enter in.
The D-day came on that fateful morning just like any normal one, we knew Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower has commanded his men to take victory or nothing, we are also ready to defend our land, though Bismarck has foretold this coming of an era when war will ravaged Europe but the big underdog who controls the world will never let the peace making empire rest, they’ll rather have them dragged into war like the first world war than let them be, the shame of the first hasn’t left Germany yet, but the second one was too heavy to bear, dad told me of Stalin’s brutality in making sure German women were raped, brutalized and hanged, the country pillaged to the ground.
All was made to bring down a single man who plan to defend his country from invaders and raise the standard of living of his people, his name: Hitler

Grandpa looked at me as if it will be his last time, surely it is,
“son, they are going to tell you a lot about this war, don’t believe the media”
I wonder who i should believe, I thought
“we never did anything wrong, we didn’t, we were only trying to protect our nation and our people, and the sherpherd became a hunted wolf.

Well, Hitler said a lot and he certainly wanted war and convinced many Germans that they wanted it too. It is always easy to blame someone else and it is a very dangerous thing to single out anyone for their origin or their religion. This kind of discrimination is only to rampant all over the world.
Hopefully, mankind will evolve some day and understand that we all have more in common than we are different, that war never is a solution and always brings lots of misery, and that we only can survive and strive as people if we all help and respect each other.
I am hoping that that day will come.
I hope that day will come when we will truly learn to respect each other no matter our differences. Looks like not in this generation though.. It's just getting tougher, everyone thinking they are right and the other is wrong. No one wants to compromise! It's sad
We can be the examples. I think every time there is a swing in the direction we don't like things to go, it is even more important to stand with our principles. And Steemit is a good platform for people from all over to come together and to learn to understand each other.

OK, I disagree with your school of thought, maybe because am under the influence of a book am presently reading and I decided to write in that line.
Mind you, I've been infatuated with World War II and Germany for so many years now, the book solidify some assertion of mine.
Well, I grew up in Germany and there was nothing good about that war. Not what happened during or the consequences of the divided Germany. War is always bad. And to destroy people based on their religion, race, sexual orientation or political beliefs is always bad - no matter how it is done. There have been a lot of books written trying to glorify Hitler and the War and they are pure fiction.
Yes, people were suffering after the First War because they had to pay so many retributions. The lesson here is that people will agree to a lot of things if they think they can fill their bellies.
Another argument to make sure that we stop poverty and hunger worldwide.
War is never a solution!
It makes a few people very rich and many people on all sides of the warring parties will suffer greatly.
