Day 00 - ? Minute Freewrite - Prompt: a special occasion
1. The Special Occasion is Being ALIVE, & if not yet during a time when we've truly taken advantage of the mechanisms our species possesses for eventually even ending oppression itself, at least systematically, Being Alive in a time where not only can those in the 1st world access a platform such as this, or even the internet in general, but where "We All Can".
2. Of course WE ALL CAN'T. "We'all" actually includes literally 3 BILLION individual who have no access to this otherwise "WorldWide" "Web" of connections between people, using Computers, Copper, Electricity, and thin AF Threads of Glass that were originally fabricated by some guy who fired a crossbow tied to a narrow strip of glass that he'd heated to incredible temperatures.
3. I worry about orphans, refugees, the subjects of totally unnecessary injustice, and the oppression that's seemed central to the biggest rivers of history, but at the same time, i also think a great deal about where the 99.99% of us who've never and will never invent or innovate in any way that affects substantial numbers of others, and wonder where ATM can we best spend our energy.
4. Think of it like this, for i think my time is almost up:
If you help 1,000 people to climb up from the bottom of the earth, to acquire a solar well, electricity provider, and internet connection, well, that's a pretty big deal, and for those people, damn, just wow, life changer.
If you help 1,000 people to NOT DIE, when they otherwise would die, holy F__k, that's unbelievable.
If you help 1,000 VISIONARY CHILDREN, to escape the likely destiny of having their ridiculous abilities crushed into dust by the weight and prejudices of everyday society, of whatever type,
It seems likely to me that you assist literally MILLIONS of individuals.
Talk about a special occasion!
We're on the cusp of the PATRON AGE™.
We're about to enter a MODERN RENAISSANCE™.
I would definitely say this is a special occasion, in the history of the entire universe.

True, and it's hard as hell to not pursue the first two options, but i think a lot, and i worry about US a lot, so i tend to try and find paths of action which can lead to not just helping others, but helping others who can help others. Not that i don't want to go out and save children and families, i desperately do, and it's long been possible that we'll end up building locations in literally the poorest places in the world that will have us, but starting out, the goal is to help in ways that can truly multiply the fastest, because of what seems to be a drastic hurry to help humanity on this planet.
