5 minute freewrite - prompt towel

It was 5:23am and the sun had just peaked over the top of La Serrella mountain. The late night revellers were tucked up in bed and the sweet notes of birdsong filled the air.

Dieter made his way down towards the pool and had the pick off all the sun loungers and carefully laid out his towel. He studied his work - it was perfectly symmetrical. He repeated the process as he laid out his wife's towel on the lounger next to it. He had one last look, and happy with the symmetry, he went about his day happy in the knowledge that they would have someplace to lie out later in the day.

Meanwhile George rolled over in bed, opened one eye and seeing the unearthly hour, went back to sleep. George eventually decided to take a dip in the pool to ease the hangover. He walked around the pool twice, and there were no loungers free, then he spotted the two perfectly toweled loungers and remembered seeing a man laying the same towels out a few nights before. It must have been about 5am he remembered.

"Ah now, you can't be doing that!"

He said out loud, but it was more a thought than a statement.. He picked up the two towels and threw them aside, but he miscalculated the distance and the towels ended up in the pool.

Right at that moment Dieter arrived back at the pool and Anglo-German relations reached a new low as George and Dieter went at it hammer and thongs.. The imagination involved in conjuring up some of the swear words was worthy of some sort of accolade - "The Thundering Fuck-wad of the year award" or the like.
