What Would You Do?
Roadblocks are inevitable, on the road as well as in life, but how do you react when you are faced with a roadblock? They are disconcerting, irritating and frustrating. Depending on what you are attempting to do, or where you are trying to go, roadblocks are unwelcome interruptions in your plans.
Sometimes you get downright angry and curse up a storm. Perhaps that accident in front of the two mile long traffic line is keeping you from dinner, or meeting up with friends or family, or maybe just keeping you from your favorite program or game.
You can begin by shifting your mind from yourself to the people whose lives may be changing, or even ending today which caused that backed up line and roadblock. If you are religious, perhaps you can pray for the people involved. If not, perhaps some quiet reflection on your own life would remove the anger.
Roadblocks can be beneficial in averting tragedy and unsafe plans. Perhaps your bus broke down and your trip cancelled, this may become opportunity for something else. This summer Jeff and I had a roadblock of sorts when we had purchased the wrong flight home. We got stuck in the VIP suite for a day with free breakfast gratus the hotel. Not a bad roadblock as I enjoyed swimming in the pool after a delicious breakfast. Who would have thought?
Well, I'm over five minutes, but I hope this message changes a little perspective!

I am sitting in front of a block right now. Trying my best to find solution. Life is always full with ups and downs. Just need to be strong. What doesn't kill us will make us stronger. This is what I believe. 💪
