RE: The SBD Gift #0017: Do You Have Over 500 Steem Power? Check The Sponsors Area
Hi, I got your message with the tip, and I suppose I should have commented to let you know the reason for the downvote.
I was browsing #introduceyourself yesterday trying to point people in the right direction, and I noticed that you used the #introduceyourself tag when this post is not an introduction post.
I appreciate what you're trying to do. SBD giveaways are always great, but consider using an alternate tag like #giveaway rather than using #introduceyourself. One of the reasons given when you click the flag button is
Intentional miscategorized content or Spam
I'm sure you were just using the tag to try to get visibility. We're all vying for that. Just try to avoid using a category that your post is clearly not a part of. You're not the only offender. I pushed out several downvotes yesterday because people were posting memes and movie trailers in #introduceyourself.
I've removed the downvote, but just be conscious of your tags next time. I'd encourage you to go browse #introduceyourself and meet some people. Welcome them to the platform. That's the best way to get them to check out your blog.
Best wishes and happy steeming!
Wow! Its a good thing you let me know about this. Yes definitely, i will avoid using that tag, and any other tag unnecessarily.
You are doing a great job putting people in check in this manner. It helps to instill some sanity into the steemit experience as a whole.
Thanks also for your advice, i am taking heed to it, and will follow through with it as you said. Infact, it is a really good idea.
Well done!
No problem!
