I haven't worked for a boss for what I think now is about 40 years my friend. Freelanced in the business world as a contractor, raised 3 kids, got divorced a few times after all of the kids were out of the house and now my 18th year in the charity field.
The saying is in the freelancers world regarding opportunities; "If you don't have a ticket, you cannot catch the bus"
