What a great story and a really cool experience! I have always wanted to go off the grid to some degree and may be making the first steps later this year. Thanks for the post @movingman! I cant wait to read the next installment!

If you ever think you have something you need to wait for, let me know, and maybe there's a shortcut to it from an alternative angle! I did a post the otherday before this one, on how easy it can be to live for free or at least cheaper, thus being a bit more free to work less if we need less to live.
