I've moved to Hive, along with most other people, following Justin Sun's takeover of Steem in the Spring of 2020. I believe hive is a lot more decentralised than Steem!

Great post!! Especially love the second point - how making choices is just a way for us to feel important about 'me and my desires'. Very true. Few months ago my husband and I came back from one and a half year at an ashram in India. Where we didn't choose anything. Not our clothing, not what we would eat, not the program of the day. First I didn't mind, but it became more tough as time developed. I think on a subconscious level we connect very strongly to this point of 'me and my preferences' - for building identity and the sense of knowing who we are. And of course, an ashram is exactly the place where that gets chiselled away at. The lifestyle we lived did give a lot of opportunity to work on the freedom of the inner space - to work on removing the patterns we take along from earlier life experiences and that put us in auto pilot mode all the time. It was an interesting journey, one I am still reflecting on and puzzling over :). But definitely can subscribe to your closing sentence, which is both very poetic and very much to the point! Thanks for great read, giving you a follow!

18 months is hardcore. I've only done one retreat but will never forget the opening line...
