There are a lot of us who want to live in a voluntary society free of coercion. A society that is based on respect and love for each other and not a society that is based on threatening and violence and control.

A lot of libertarians and anarchists are clueless how to get there. And even the leftists, sort of like the Noam Chomsky types who are left-anarchists kind of feel that something is not right in the philosophy. There is something missing, there is something in the back of their minds of both the leftist anarchists, and the capitalist anarchists. And that is actually the key that has been kept society divided for so long.

Leftists want to force rich people to redistribute their wealth, while rich people want to create monopolies where they artificially drive down the cost of laborers so that they will work in slave like conditions. So if either gets into power, tyranny will happen. If the left gets into power, we know what suffering communism will create. While if the corporate structure is dominant, then as Chomsky refers to "private tyranny" will rule, in a non-transparent corporation, that has monopoly powers.

So it seems to me as if we are fighting the same enemy here. Both the left and the right has the same enemy, however, unfortunately, both camps are divided, and we are actually fighting each other as a result. We are divided, and controlled, and those who rule above us, can manipulate both sides against each other.

The enemy is centralized power!

Which might be the government, a monopolistic corporation, an international body, or any other organization that wants to control and submit people to their will.

So when libertarians talk about privatization, that won't cut it. Most government only run services are already being privatized, but they are still in monopoly. Like in some countries the water and sewer companies are already privatized, but they are still in monopoly. Did it change anything? Not really. The pipe are still rusty, and the sewer is still clogged.

So what difference does it make when the profits of a utility goes into a private hand versus a government hand:

  • Well the private owner will cut some costs and make it more efficient
  • But the tax revenue decreases since that profit goes directly the private hands (I am not defending taxation here, I am just saying that this is a wrong tactical move)

So it may become more efficient, or not, because if they are in monopoly, why should they care? But the tax revenue will decrease, so it's actually worse than if it were government run.

Nationalize Everything?

And now some uneducated people will say that everything should be nationalized? No, that is communism, and it has already failed.

Privatize Everything?

Libertarians will want everything privatized. Well it might work in the short run, but what if the corporations keep merging together, and become a monopoly, what then? Just look at the banks, 10-15 banks rule the financial system, which used to be many thousands a century ago. It's a monopoly, since they own shares in each other. Is the financial system better as a result? Of course not, it's utterly corrupt.

So what is the solution?

The solution is just DECENTRALIZATION. I don't care if it's private or public. The simple rule of thumb is that no human should hold too much power, and that applies to everyone.

  • If there are 1000 small private grocery stores in a town, then it's perfect
  • If there is a publicly run and publicly protected blockchain called: Bitcoin, it's fine.

You see, both public and private projects have their own roles, they can cooperate, in different circumstances, different approaches are needed. The only rule is that nothing should have too much power.

So we need all Altcoins to keep Bitcoin in check, because without them Bitcoin would get monopoly, and it would get sloppy.

So the left and right should be allies actually and not enemies, as long as they agree on this common rule.
