Over Winter the well froze shut and so it got hit with a hammer! And it was time I repaired it as its the neighbour's well!

I had to go get water for the cabin and in the evening I finally remembered to take a bucket and some tolls with cement ready to add water inside. We don't get our water from a tap and it definitely dosn't taste like city water which is full of chloride. I'm so long without drinking from the poisoned government water system that when I need to drink water from a tap, its like swimming-pool water on my lips.

I know some people here who actually are distilling the tap water and getting the "left overs" tested, and I was shocked to hear what was in the water. I wont list them here because I personally do not know the facts, but like I say I was shocked because Norway is well known for its masses of water. In the UK I remember hearing 15 years ago, that every glass of water drank in London , has been drunk already 8 times!! Just plain WRONG.

One time at Mullhaus I think its called on the German\ French border, I was waiting for a ride at a gas station. It was very hot that day, and people were walking in and out of the shop with tiny bottles of water complaining about the price. To the side of the forecourt, there was a rock face of a cliff, and pouring down it beautifully was a waterfall. I took an empty bottle from the trash and went to get some free, natural water than hadn't been touched by man, and you wouldn't believe how people were staring as if I was crazy.

Everyday I get a shock as to how deep the conditioning has become within the people. Its well worth getting at least a water filter for your home and make sure its one that filters out FLUORIDE. Chlorine evaporates away by itself in a short time so even when you buy bottled water, it will have chloride inside it so you can leave the lid off to let it escape.

There's still one more layer to do to finish it, but no rush because the ants and snails have already stopped going in there!

Its been many years since I lived somewhere with a water tap. And even more years since I drank regularly from a tap connected to a mains water supply. We also have a well here but it needs cleaning out, and I cant be bothered to do that when there's a big one 5 mins away. 

And on a hot sunny day, there's nothing better than cold fresh water!
