I don't understand, 7% of what posts? I may not understand the rewards as well as you do.
I find it odd though that people who post well known information, and hardly any of it, or these rambling dlive 'stare at my face' videos make so much. And the comments don't have discussion, just 'nice post' 'this is very important and stuff' and those accounts all themselves have no real basis in reality, maybe 50 resteems and 'i like cheerios' type posts.
I am pretty sure at this point that there are a lot of cops on steem. Which means we must be doing something right, but with their resources how long until they own half the witnesses?

Not sure it's quite 7% but he and others are taking a fair chunk.
There is still trust necessary with any digital interaction, here especially steemit Inc and steemconnect etc where you give them the key to all your coins.
That's the problem with this tech focus. We miss the chance to look people in the eye and trust them, or not, instinctively.
Cops trying to infiltrate everywhere. In a similar occupied village close to me here they have come as 'visitors', even accepting fresh lettuce for 'the family' and obviously gathering information on how they are going to 'deal' with us. They put whatever face suits them.
Direct control of my water, food, shelter and comfort are where my priorities lie. After a mind free from attachments.
There will inevitably be attempts at abuse of every system of group interaction, on every level. Until we find the strength of mind and character to counter those blatant abuses, at a quantity and quality to have effect, the world will continue its spiral to the mechanistic sadistic hell dreamed up by parasites.
