I'm writing an article you might like, called "Ethics and Morality of Basic Income."

The basic problem with basic income is WHO and HOW can we determine any ceiling of well being... indeed that is an interesting discussion. I will read but not keen on this "elite made solution".
These ideas we have about morality, and basic income, all derive from the idea that governments issue money, thus they control us.
P2P funding is very different; the people issue a currency and agree on it's worth and value, and it is not inherently inflationary, as it's an engineered economy designed to have very limited, controlled expansion over time, and mostly to be go up in value over time.
And there are many different sources of P2P funding; so it can't be held over your head exactly, but there are rules of conduct a community agrees to, in order to allow participation.
