_{Reflections: Mulan}

So I had a few ideas utilizing the lyrics of one of my favorite Disney songs, despite the pitch being way too high for me to sing it well, Reflections from Mulan. I found it funny that while Mulan was singing about not being able to be the person that she wanted to be, in these images I am communicating that the United States, through its overseas wars, is not being the country that I want it to be.

This meme is another lyric from Reflections, but now we see that the Eagle is perhaps falling in love with itself? Or sexually confused? Either way this may not make deep philosophical sense, since although I cannot tell without a google search the difference between a male and a female eagle, I'm pretty sure an eagle could. Perhaps this meme speaks more to gender identity.

This third meme is my favorite in my Reflection series, and really hits home the fact that the US is not being true to its inner self (The Constitution) when it engages in overseas foreign warfare. This is the particular meme that I think fits best with the Dead Soldier back drop.

Here is my last entry, these are my own 'lyrics', communicating the sadness of losing a loved one in a foreign war only marginally related to domestic issues or themes such as freedom.
