Regaining Freedom to Move
For over a year, I have been mostly house bound. I have existed without wheels (no car). I have arranged for rides to the grocery store or relied on delivery services for my supplies.
Being house bound should be considered as a punishment. I am extremely introverted so for me it has been bearable.
However my limitations are about to be broken. My new 3 wheel electric scooter has been ordered. I anxiously await delivery at the end of the week. It is projected to travel up to 40 miles on a single charge with an 18 mph maximum speed.
I will post pictures when I can. I may try to get a video of me riding down the street... maybe.
The point is ‘you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone’. Think about the blessings of physical health you may enjoy. Most people enjoy some level of personal freedom. Although financial slavery still exists, personal slavery is gone. We all have some freedoms to enjoy. Be thankful for what you’ve got.
This week, I expect a new scooter. Dare I dream of a personal driver as my next step?
Here is today’s beauty.
enjoy your life, thanks you for sharing
Physical health is a huge blessing of God. Waiting for you to ride through the streets.
Although my husband and I, here in Burgundy, almost never leave the house and the yard, only for groceries etc., there is a huge difference between not going because you want to stay or not going because you cannot go.
So I am happy for you, I hope you can say with Bob Dylan: "The Times They Are a-Changin!"
True doctor. Thanks to god for the physical health i am enjoying. Waiting for the pictures and photos of your new scooter.
Very touching story and a reminder that life is beautiful when it's lived well.
I wish you quick recovery !
