Idealime Student, Mindset And Student Lifestyle Before and After Reform

Students are people who are enrolled in college. If we talk about students, there will be many that we meet about the differences between students and students of today. The first students I mentioned were those who were students before the reform. Whereas today's students I mean are students in this 20th century. In this case I will try to share my experience with my readers friends.

In this case I am as a student who complains about the reality of today's students will try to devote my experience.

First, college students are typical students who have high spirits. We can see the history of the students at the time before the reform, they really struggle to crush the Suharto government. They really want to fight for people's rights. While the students today do not have a high fighting spirit. All that we can prove by the lack of movement of the student movement who really want to fight for the people, most of them only wrestle in discourse but not action. If you have a high morale spirit, should students now also dare to act and innovate with their discourses.

Secondly, the current student lifestyle is very materialist impressed. Why not, the first student who dared to act to criticize anyone is that they really want to fix the chaotic marut this country. But now very different, today's students are more impressed materialists. Why? Because as if the current student is a brave student who moves if there is a move, one of which is money. Today the demos and action are not the dreaded thing. Because the current majority students they dare to speak up and fight but are afraid of hunger. That I think is very different from the students first.

Third, students prefer to buy books rather than status updates. In the past the students felt ashamed when they did not have knowledge, but now the majority of students feel embarrassed when they are inactive and do not exist in social media. Perhaps it has not been as much current about social media, but at least they should also increase knowledge through books not always with social media. Students today seem more concerned with social media such as facebook, whatsapp, line etc. They were as if they never opened a book in their college library.

Fourth, it used to be a crowded place with people reading books, but not now. If we talk about libraries, it was once described that the library is a very comfortable and realistic place for students, whether it be activists or passifis. But what happened and what I experienced in the library seemed to have switched functions. Now library has become the background for the photo and then uploaded in social media account each maaing. That's what I experienced and that became one of my turmoil as a student.

Fifth, the idealism of students is now starting to decrease. If we talk about the ideals of former students with current students is very different. In the past the students had the mindset that the ideal student was an activist and academic student. Perhaps that idea still exists, but the reality is that many students vilify each other between activist and academic. They now seem to be most true themselves. In reality, academic students look to the student activists for their reasons, and vice versa. As if the ideal student was only an activist and also only academic. What I feel when we try to think and I get kesinpulan through experiments turned out that the ideal student is those who can become students of academic activists.

Ideally students should be able to organize and be responsible for the title of their current student affairs. Given the student is the agent of change, agent of control etc. In this case I apologize if there is a word that is less pleasing, but if we think the nature of the students then the current reality no longer illustrates that they have responsibility for what they should do for themselves and for society.
