The first time I said the pledge of allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance of the United States is an expression of allegiance to the Flag of the United States and the republic of the United States of America, originally composed by Colonel George Balch in 1887, later revised by Francis Bellamy in 1892 and formally adopted by Congress as the pledge in 1942. The official name of The Pledge of Allegiance was adopted in 1945. The last change in language came on Flag Day 1954 when the words "under God" were ~Wikipedia~
The first time I learned the pledge of allegiance was when I first started 4th grade. It was my first time going to a public school, overall it was not a good experience; The only thing enjoyable about going there was that my best friend from across the street also went to the same school. Walking back home from school with him was the best part of my day!
Everyday in school when I went to my home room class, we would stand up facing the flag and we were told to say the pledge of allegiance; Putting our hands on our heart, standing up facing the flag, as we recited this pledge out loud.
After I finished fourth grade I have never recited the pledge of allegiance, with a group of people, facing the flag, with my hand on my heart, ever since then; Yet I still remember the whole thing word for word and have not been able to forget it since then.
My realization as an adult
The pledge should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute." ~Wikipedia~
I now realize this pledge is completely indoctrination to create loyalty for the country of the U.S.A. The hand is put over the heart to symbolically represent your life interconnected to the "Indivisible, one nation of the flag". If any of the statements become the opposite of "indivisible or "One nation" then your life or heart becomes the opposite of living!
The part were it talks about "to the republic for which it stands" & "for liberty and justice for all" are just lies to filter the truth of statism.
The "under god" part, which was added last, Is just to directly link the U.S. with god in the minds of the people. In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God,". Religion is the number one thing that has been fought over through out history, what better way to fuel a war machine!
Yes, I now know that I didn't have to recite it if I decided to refuse but how was I supposed to know that? We went to school to follow the rules and "learn". To bad I was not in one of the four states that do recite the pledge in school.
It is also commonly recited in school at the beginning of every school day, although the Supreme Court has ruled in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette that students cannot be compelled to recite the Pledge, nor can they be punished for not doing so. All states except four (Hawaii, Iowa, Vermont and Wyoming) give time for the pledge to be recited as part of the school day ~Wikipedia~
Alas, here is the pledge that I spoke for only a little less than a year, yet ever word has been stuck in my mind ever since then

This new pledge of allegiance I feel is in higher alignment with my true self & beliefs. I shall be overwriting the past programming of the year that I recited the pledge of allegiance during school. If you feel the same as I do, you are free to say the new pledge of allegiance with me.
If you have past programming from reciting the pledge like I do, I recommend recreating the way that you used to recite the pledge. Hands on heart & standing up yet instead of facing a flag, look at or Imagine something that reminds you of the universe that we are all interconnected to! This will help reprogram that past programming of your self; By doing the same actions of the past, it is almost like you are overwriting your old data file.
Put your hand on your heart, find a position that is comfortable for you, and look at or imagine, with eyes open or closed, a symbol that represents to you the universe that we are all interconnected with; Feeling your heart expand beyond yourself while reciting this pledge out loud or within your head!

I pledge allegiance to the world, The source of every creature's life, And to all the people who call it home. One planet, in harmony, interconnected, With peace and freedom for all.
It is never to late to change our entire being of what we have presently become. A misalignment/bug, whether created accidentally or on purpose, is merely something that has yet to be reprogrammed! Let's create a better world for tomorrow by creating a better version of ourselves today!

I thought I was following you already. Am now. Nice post. I never had to recite a pledge in Canadian school, but we all stood to sing the anthem at assemblies. Also, you're a hypnotist?!
Ha, no problem. Your lucky but that makes sense; Canada is so laid back I can't really imagine them making you say one. Yeah, well that is quite normal. I think almost all countries do that.
Yeah, I am ^_^ I have been trying to make a record session to share here on steemit but I haven't had time to write and record the script. My first recorded hypnosis session will be a simple progressive relaxation one.

I remember first time I hear the pledge of allegiance and I was like ???
In Argentina they have this "Oración a la bandera", and at the school I went to they did make us recite it at the beginning and end of the school time, after praying LOL
Luckily no hands-on heart were involved and even that I recited it for a couple of years I do not remember it, haha !
Anyways I love the new version of the pledge of allegiance, and the tips to re-programming the consciousness.

ha, that is surprising; I did not know that they said the pledge of allegiance in Argentina. Wow, at the beginning and end of the school, that is a lot. Haha that is funny. Sounds weird but it doesn't sound as indoctrinating as the United States pledge of allegiance.
