Really? This is actually not "hot news" rather a prolonged investigation that started back in may. But I wanted to post it here because it is one of the stories that stuck out among the noise.
For me this is a clear breach of trust from Uber.
I found the story by accident while at a friends house. It said that Uber had been involved with hundreds of legal cases over the past two years over avoiding paying license fees etc- This could damage Uber enormously-
Wow, it looks like synchronicity is at play here. And, yes, they have really messed up this year. From a unicorn start-up to a massive disaster. I read the personal story a female uber-engineer - she experienced a devastating amount of sexual harassment across all management levels; They treated her so bad, and ignored all her complaints, that she eventually quit her high-paying position and went elsewhere.
