Nice thought-full post!!
I'm really of the opinion that unless you have value to exchange that needs a common measure, the coins are a distraction and, in fact, sheer waste of time, money and energy. If you're ALREADY exchanging from the heart, with enthusiasm and free will and joy, why on earth would you need a coin too? Unless score keeping matters.
So I remain to be convinced. And I say that whilst delighting in your topic, having spent many pleasurable FREE hours this evening curating for @ecotrain and supp=porting others. :)

Well, seeing you delighted already makes it worthwhile writing this idea down. And somehow I do think keeping track of things matter. If not for anything else, to show that not only is the free-of-charge / from-the-heart economy possible, but people are doing it everywhere! Things that are taken for granted are most easily lost and forgotten. Besides, if you take a nice photo, there's equally no real necessity to share it with anyone, still I'm happy if you do so.
