Big Tech Social Media Exodus

in #free6 years ago (edited)

The big tech social media exodus continues apace. Sad to watch, but there has not been a greater opportunity for competition to thrive. NoobTube, Fakebook, and Twatter have become boring. Just plain boring. Nobody should feel sad because their high school days are over. No, they only continued. All one had to do was join Fakebook.

Anyone who has used YouTube in the past five years knows just how much it has changed for the worse; from a truly user-based system where someone like PewDiePie can thrive and gain millions of followers, to where Jimmy fucking Kimmel and John Oliver invade the homepage. YouTube has been sanitized and compromised, and thus, boring.

Out of all this is the current reaction by alt tech and alt media. There is a lot of promise, I think, in the coming years.

Big tech social media didn't kill Free Speech; they just kicked it out and put up the 'Not Welcome' sign. Free Speech is just moving over to where its welcomed, and any platform that welcomes it is going to thrive.
