I am a huge enthusiast of Packt "Free Learning" promotion. If you can be bothered to check it daily, you can amass quite an impressive comp-sci library - I am pretty sure I have personally amassed around 30 books this way (and had time to read 3 of them, but that is another story).
Yes, that's true. I've ended only two, but other 4 or 5 titles now are helpful in my new work. You never work what can be useful in future:)
