Bonjour - Any French around?

Salut les amis! Si il y a des francais par ici...

Hi all, looking to see how many French are on steemit. Haven't seen many in my recent article scout. You see, I have experienced this in the last 20+ years: The US create something online, the UK adopts it quickly (used to be months, now almost overnight) and the French look into it after a while.

I am just stating facts here, don't read anything else. But as I stand in London, I find it fascinating to have this open window on the US and to some extent on Asia, and see things coming this way. Then I turn my head towards France and Europe and realise it is not there yet.

For instance, Amazon or Google often introduce new services or change interfaces. Well, have a look: .com gets changed, very soon after .co.uk get the same changes. Then look at .fr or .de etc and you will see they haven't changed yet. It may take them weeks, even months to get the same change.
Isn't that interesting?

Oh and if you are wondering why... well consider the opportunity. If Amazon introduces something through which you could run business, you have time to look into it, see how it goes in the US and UK before you run it in France. This way, you can learn from experience and be one of the first to do the same in France.
