Drill site leases themselves traded like Mortgage Backed Securities (we all are still hurting from the previous 'Sub-Prime' business model!) Ultimately in terms of sociology, it's just the latest chapter in the history of Enclosure; the 'heathen' who can no longer survive the dead zones will become cheap labor in the emerging new world order mega city.
