"THE WOMAN OF THE LIGHTHOUSE"

Every day at dusk, he is seen taking the path that leads to the lighthouse; dressed in her elegant hat and binoculars hanging from her neck. From the top of it, is ready to scan the horizon, as if looking for something. Nobody knows for sure who he is, or where he came from. Many are the stories that are heard in the village tavern about the strange woman of the lighthouse: some say that the beautiful woman went crazy because of a handsome sailor; who swore eternal love, leaving with the promise to return for her. Since then, they say they see her in the lighthouse until late, waiting for the arrival of her beloved. Others relate that he lost his eye, during a fight with another woman, for the love of the sailor, who deceived her, and in the end abandoned her, being upset and marked for life. The truth of the story is that the woman always goes up to the lighthouse at the same time and examines with her binoculars the panorama, there it goes a long time; and when he does not see what he expects, he returns along the narrow path, with his sad face, almost hidden by his hat and at a brisk pace ...
