What would you give to be able to see into the future? How much would you pay? Would you be okay not being able to see your present?. Not many humans knew of Melanie's power, and her family did well to help her hide it. Melanie was born with completely white eyes, no iris, snow golden hair that always seem to lighten up the room. The doctors had never seen anything like it and just assumed it was an abnormality. Her operation was scheduled for a later date when Malanie would have been older. She seemed so innocent and sounded like a spoiled brat when she begged her dad not to travel to the nearby town as he usually does to collect wood and get some supplies, he never returned as he was killed by a stray bullet in a local gang shootout. More instances began to occur where Melanie began to predict the future and events always happened just as she had predicted. Soon crazies came in through the door demanding for a future prediction and other dangerous locals. Melanie's mom had to sneak out of town one night with Melanie and her younger sister while the town slept before the news about Melanie's power became a global affair that could very well put her in some lab, with government officials trying out different unethical tests on her. Melanie saw it already, it happened in the future which they had altered now when they moved to an undisclosed location, no government should be able to find her here now. In the future she saw, the FBI stormed her home with helicopters and SWAT team as though she were a danger to the public or threat to the government, or better still an alien. She was moved to an underground bunker where she never saw her family again and she was being tested upon like a lab rat, no she didn't want that. All she had to do was keep her power to her family alone. Would she still want to have an operation to fix this?, Is this a way to live life?, what would you give to see the future?. Melanie.
