RE: Why our generation is not happy...
Comparing ones life to others is indeed a common issue with modern life and it is surely much easier to do, but it is not necessarily a generational issue. I actually don't believe it is an issue for everyone. It's important to cultivate a relationship with your self and seek your most authentic version of yourself in every moment. Sure nobody is going to be able to maintain a constant level of pure authenticity but if you put your intention there life is beautiful. Even the ugly parts have an aspect of beauty. This is because reality is defined by your perception of it thus your reality is a reflection of yourself at the given moment. All you can truly perceive is you because all the information gathered by your nervous system is processed by your mind and you do what ever you want with that information. Until the information reaches the brain, and is processed, it is nothing but an electromagnetic pulse, nothing but a blip of information. It is you that turns that into an assessment of what is real and true thus what is real and true to you is just a reflection of yourself. All that you can relate to in the outside world is what already exists with in. You have premeditated what is possible and your reality is defined by this. So look with in...look at yourself and discover your potential for beauty and your life will become as fascinating and unique as those you see on social networking. After all this is what we do on social networking. We put our best version of self forward for all to see because we don't want to be a bummer. We can do this in real life as well.
