Sergio Perez won Monaco Grand Prix - what's up with Lewis Hamilton?
Sergio Pérez won Monaco Grand Prix yesterday. It was his third Grand Prix victory ever, and he was driving in an impressive way. Carlos Jr. ended up second, while the Red Bull Racing teammate Max Verstappen ended up as the third-best in the race.
All in all, Max Verstappen is leading the Formula 1 Grand Prix standing sheet so far, 8 points ahead of Charles Leclerc who is driving for Ferarri, the same as Carlos Jr.
In the overall standings when you look at the teams, it currently looks as if the battle is close between Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, followed by Mercedes with Lewis Hamilton quite a big distance behind.
And that takes me to the following question... what's up with Lewis Hamilton? I am not much of a Formula 1 fan, but I know enough about it to understand that it isn't normal that we are entering the month of June, and Lewis Hamilton still hasn't won a single race this season. That is strange.
Another thing for me is that Lewis Hamilton has suffered from the "too good" problem. I find it extremely boring when any athlete just wins it all, being way better than all the others. I have often felt that when I see the Norwegians do Nordic Skiing, I have seen it with ice skating and the Netherlands, and I have had the same feeling watching Lewis Hamilton in Formula 1. But, that seems to have changed this season.
Does anyone have any good reason for the poor performing of Lewis Hamilton so far this season? Of course, he hasn't been really bad. He is ranked 6th with 50 points so far, 75 points behind Max Verstappen who has 125 points. That is actually quite a big distance, and I dare to say that he will have great trouble catching up that distance, even if he should win races once again.
