Williams introduced FW41
Williams today officially introduced the new car that will compete in the championship for the new season. The car bears the name FW41 and appeared in front of an audience at a special event in London.
She will compete with Lance Strahl and his new teammate Sergei Sirokkin. It is the work of the technical director of Paddy Low and comes with a new design philosophy. It looks quite different from its predecessor, mostly because of the halo, as well as the modified bonnet design.
"The car has a number of new features, most of which are not so prominent." "With regard to appearance, the team set a very different aerodynamic concept, and that allowed us to notice significant improvements in performance. but the FW41 has deviated from the direction it has been before, and has taken on new paths. Overall, the philosophy that is currently shaping is a new approach to aerodynamic collaboration and design in order to achieve maximum working outcomes "said Paddy Low.
Williams, who also took Robert Kubica as their replacement driver this year, are hoping the new car will bring them a better position than they did when they finished fifth behind Force India in the constructors' standings. The car will make its debut on the track during pre-season tests that start in Spain on February 26th.
