What banano coin now? Yes, that’s true, there is banano coin now. Meme coins are great simple enthusiastic projects in crypto that many of us are familiar with. We all have heard of at least one of them, most popular dogecoin of course. Meme coins are a great way to promote cryptocurrency as usually communities around them have huge positive energy and are always ready to make you smile.
Banano coin is another “joke” coin that many of the people will tell you. What’s so special about it? It is forking from well-known cryptocurrency called Nano (previously known as RaiBlocks), which gained a lot of attention starting like in December of 2017 due to it’s feeless and instant transactions. The rebranding of RaiBlocks to Nano seems to be a great move as now community has come up with the name Banano. Banano has nothing against Nano, it is simply fun project that was born within the Nano community.
Banano devs and people who wanted to run testent for like a month trying to tweak nano codebase and to prepare everything for the main lunch which happened at 1st of April this year. POW time is tweaked to be faster to complete than nano and total supply is limited to 3.4 Billion or 10x the total supply of nano. As it goes for distribution they are going for fair distribution through airdrops, faucets, tipbots etc. First ones to receive coins where people who were using testnet, later bots got lunched for discord and reddit so community can share coins with others.
Distribution through mini runner game
Basically, you play the game as being the monkey and collect bananas, you have to evade objects. Every now and then you will reach the finish line and thus when you do you will get banano credited to your game balance. The only flaw is that you are not able to see the exact number of collected bananos through games you play, you can keep track though. Don’t worry as this balance will be credited to your account when the run is over for this weekend, the exact time is Monday 9th 2018 12AM PST.
