Songwriting Challenge Week #6 of 52- "Self Forgiveness" by Morgan Washam
This week I wrote a song that is based around the theme of forgiving one's self. As we grow into adulthood, there are so many times that we go through experiences where we question ourselves, our judgment and our choices. We sometimes carry these burdens with us throughout life. I believe the weight of these invisible chains can hinder our growth if we are not able to let them go and move forward. Sometimes in life when others cannot find a way to forgive us for our transgressions, we must find a way to forgive ourselves for whatever burdens we bear.
The song "Self Forgiveness" was written in an evening on March 31, 2019.

The song is a collection of simple realizations on my path of self discovery and self forgiveness.
It's a call to Mother Earth to replenish the soil of our lives, to renew and be reborn; to live in the present.
