If you have no concept of forgiveness, you're just a monster.

I know that the majority of people that I know who are on the woke, Antifa apologist, BLM (the organization, not the actual words) supporters, smash capitalism, abolish the police, SJW band leftists scoff at the ideas regarding, say, confessing your sins to a priest and being told to do fifty Hail Marys to be forgiven.

The thing is, I've been at this for six or so years. I went through a long period of talking about the value of forgiveness, and asking people who are this particular brand of leftist what their criteria for forgiveness may be.

I have still never been given anything resembling an answer.

It's no surprise that almost everybody who has his or her head out of the sand knows not to apologize anymore, even if we did say something that was truly awful. The entire ideology is built around demanding repentance with no chance of forgiveness.

So far as so many of these people are concerned, saying the wrong thing should come with a life sentence. Sure, they can't get you thrown in prison for saying the wrong thing in These United States (yet). The goal is mob enforcement. You can't spend enough time unemployed for them to stop contacting your new employer to try to get you fired. It wouldn't be enough if your significant other dumped you, took the kids, your friends alienated you, and you're living on the street -- if they happen to remember that one thing you said when you pop up to try to get your life back together, they'll try to knock you down again.

We don't have to agree on specifics in regard to what qualifies as proper punishment; but, we do all have to agree that there has to come a point wherein the right thing to do is forgive. If we don't have that, then every punishment for any perceived infraction is justified.
