Finnish forest management - Cutting down a tree
Spent the last few weeks doing forest management at our family summer cottage. This was the last tree we chopped down and it could have gone terribly wrong...
#1 - A Finnish woman wielding a change saw and a 2nd Finnish woman comes to help topple the tree.
#2 - The British man comes to inspect the situation and add his weight.
#3 - Rocking the trunk from side to side to free the top branches that were stopping it from falling.
#4 - Tiimmbbbeeeerrrrrrrrrrr! Just missed the playhouse.
A Work of Art
Living in a cold winter climate is just such a different life to warmer climates, I can imagine chopping down and stacking wood for the cold winter months. Enough time to dry the wood out enough to enjoy in a couple of months time @sysdesjokes quite a team of lumberjacks I must say.
