Spring...oh spring...
Well the inevitable has happened. This day sadly comes every year.
Smiling that this year it happened in January.
We ate the last of our Morels!
In honor of this event, a few pics from last spring, and oh what a spring it was!
This haul was a from a great day in the woods making a communal effort and teaching @freedompoint and @freedomtowrite how to spot the illusive Morel :)
Side note, I learned last week that one of them doesn't like mushrooms...but he sure liked finding them!!!

Those are some great morels! That's some fine eating. And it will make all of us long for spring, for sure. What's your favorite way to cook them? Happy mushroom hunting this spring! : )
Sauteed with Spring greens, tossed with some angel hair pasta and a cream sauce!

Nothing beats sauteed on a burger but most often we dip them in egg then seasoned flour and pan fry in butter.
