The Kanjuruhan Tragedy Victims' Medical Causes Are Revealed by the Malang Health Office

Shortness of breath was identified as the medical cause of death for those who perished in the Kanjuruhan tragedy by drg Wiyanto Wijoyo, head of the Malang Regency Health Office (Dinkes). A lot of the victims, according to Wiyanto, suffered wounds and shattered bones.

"The situation is panicked because of chaos and being trampled on. Medically it is due to shortness of breath. As for the condition of the body, there are injuries, there are broken bones," Wiyanto said as quoted by detikJatim, Sunday (2/10/2022).

The Kanjuruhan tragedy's death toll is rising. According to the most recent statistics, there have been 130 fatalities.

"The victim died 130 people," said the Head of the Malang Regency Health Office, Drg. Wiyanto Wijoyo, as quoted from detikJatim.

186 victims are now being treated, according to the data. This information is an increase over the previous one, which listed 180 individuals who were still receiving medical care.
