Arsenal and Chelsea played out a highly entertaining 2-2 draw at the Emirates last night. A stunning injury time equalizer from Hector Bellerin earned Arsenal a share of the points, as both sides went hell for leather in search of a win.

There was an incredible 33 chances at either end, and if it wasn’t for the heoics of Gunners' keeper Petr Cech and Blues' keeper Thibaut Courtois, the scoreline could quite easily have been more.

Arsenal had the better of the first half, even if it was error-strewn. It was exhilarating from both sides as they looked to take all three points.

Alexis Sanchez almost put the home side in front, but his shot come off both posts after an excellent stop from Courtois, and then he pushed away a low strike from Lacazette. It was fantastic keeping from the Belgian.

Lacazette was a constant menace to the Blues' defence and Courtois denied the French striker’s low shot with his heel, and then he denied him again when pushed Lacazette’s shot wide of the posts, and that was the main action of the first period.

With the score 0-0 at half time, it wasn’t looking like a goal would come, but the game really came to life in the second half.

Courtois made a couple of excellent saves to deny Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette, but then he was finally beaten in the 63rd minute as Jack Wilshire fired a rocket shot to put Arsenal 1-0 up.

Four minutes later Chelsea were level after Eden Hazard was questionably fouled in the area and the Belgian duly converted the spot kick.

Then with just 6 minutes remaining, Chelsea must have thought they had won the game. Marcos Alonso flicked home substitute Davide Zappacosta's low cross. The Blues decided to sit back and close up shop.

It seemed to be working until the second minute of injury time. The ball came towards Hector Bellerin, who then produced an exceptional half-volley into the back of the net to leave Courtois no chance.

But that wasn’t the end of the drama. Zappacosta thought he’d stolen it for Chelsea as his shot thundered off Cech's crossbar with just seconds remaining.
