Premier League Matchday 28, 24th/25th Feb Round-Up.

On Saturday, in the relegation battle, Brighton & Hove Albion trashed Swansea City 4-1 at the Amex Stadium, winning a very important 3 points in their battle for Premier League Survival. Glenn Murray scored the first 2 goals for the hosts, before Anthony Knockaert made the scoreline 3-0. The Swans then put 1 back thanks to an own goal from Lewis Dunk, before Jurgen Locadia sealed the important win on his Premier League debut for Brighton.

Another important match in the battle for Premier League survival was played at the Hawthorns, where Huddersfield Town managed to beat the hosts West Bromwich Albion 1-2. Rajiv van La Parra put the visitors in front in the 48th minute. 8 minutes later The Terriers made it 2 thanks to Steve Mounie, before Craig Dawson headed a Chris Brunt corner home for the hosts.

At the Vitality Stadium, hosts AFC Bournmouth left it late, as they managed a great comeback against Rafa Benitez's Newcastle United, after they went 0-2 behind, after Dwight Gayle scored twice in the 1st half for the visitors. In the 80th minute Adam Smith pulled one back for The Cherries, with a beautiful finish from outside the the box, before former Newcastle player Dan Gosling grabbed the equaliser 1 minute from the end of regular time.

Liverpool got the better of West Ham as they dominated their opponents from start to finish, with a huge 4-1 win at Anfield. Emre Can headed home a Mo Salah corner in the 29th minute, before the Egyptian sensation made it 2-0 in the 51st minute after great work from Oxlade-Chamberlain.6 minutes later, the Reds made it 3, thanks to their Brazillian star Roberto Firmino. Michail Antonio pulled one back for the Hammers, moments after he came on as a sub, before Sadio Made sealed the important 3 points for Jurgen Klopp's side, to put them in 2nd place momentarily.

On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur left it late in the London derby against Crystal Palace, with a 0-1 victory at Selhurst Park. The match looked like it was heading for a scoreless draw, before Premier League's top scorer Harry Kane scored a header 2 minutes from the end of the 90, after an assist from Christian Eriksen, to put Spurs in the top 4.

The final match of matchday 28 was the battle at the top of the table between Manchester United and their current gaffer's former club Chelsea, at Old Trafford. Chelsea went in front in the 32nd minute, thanks to their inform midfielder Willian. Their lead only lasted 7 minutes though, as former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku came back to haunt them, to make the scoreline 1-1. In The 75th minute the Red Devils went in front after substitute Jesse Lingaard headed home a cross from Lukaku, to put the hosts back into 2nd place in the table, with Chelsea now sitting outside of the top 4, in 5th place.
