Serie A clubs spent over €1 billion on transfers this summer
Italian top-tier once again became one of the most expensive leagues of Europe after Serie A clubs set new record by spending €1,14 billion on new players. According to research made by [Football Italia], spendings of Serie A participants increased by €233 million compared to last year. It’s a second result after EPL (€1,42 million).
Of course, Juventus is the biggest spender of this summer who paid €250 million on players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Cancelo, Douglas Costa and Leonardo Bonucci. Roma goes second with €136 million spent.
