English Premier League looking up to introduce the winter break
EPL officially announced their plans to introduce winter break since the 2019/20 season. First 2-week mid-season break is planned for February 2020. During that time there’s will be only one game week split in two with 5 matches for each weekend. Fifth tour of English Cup games will be played during the mid-week with no rematches allowed.
The changes applied to reduce the heavy workload on players after the Boxing Day – traditional game marathon in late December
