Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann was named the 2017/18 Europa League Best Player
UEFA announced the Europa League Best Player of the 2017/18 season and quite unsurprisingly it’s Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann. On his way to trophy French superstar was ahead of compatriot Dimitri Payet of Marseille and teammate Diego Godin. In 9 matches Griezmann scored 6 goals and made 2 assists.
- In Europa League final Atletico defeated Marseille – 3:0, Griezmann scored 2 goals
- In June Antoine renewed his contacts with Atleti until 2023, in July he won World Cup with France national team
