Next in Line : 1.Hurricane Harry
As football fans we have been blessed to see two of the greatest players of all time play in the same era, Ronaldo and Messi. With both player still lighting up the world stage on a weekly basis we have seen records being broken on a regular basis. However, with both players dominating the Balon D’Or/World Footballer of the Year awards in recent times and rightfully so, everyone is wondering who can be next? With some brilliant younger players all grabbing the headlines a couple candidates include Neymar, Paulo Dybala, Kevin De Bruyne and maybe even Paul Pogba. However, on current form it is very difficult to exclude Harry Kane from the discussion.
After breaking yet another record last night becoming the fastest player in Champions League history to 9 goals Harry Kane is starting to show that his breakout season wasn’t just a fluke as he has now scored upwards of 20 goals in 4 consecutive premier league seasons and was also the leading scorer across Europe’s 5 leagues in the 2017 calendar year and currently leads the way for league goals in the 2017/2018 season across the top leagues. With Harry Kane’s stock rising it is tough to see the 24-year-old superstar staying at Tottenham if they do not start winning some trophies soon with Real Madrid already rumored to attempt a big money signing. Spurs have shown some great form recently and have challenged for the Premier league in the past couple of seasons but unfortunately falling short on both occasions.
In Harry Kane we see all the attributes that is desired in a world class striker with a venomous shot from outside the box, a pure poachers’ instinct as he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, a high work ethic, the ability to score with both feet and his head as well as a willingness to take defenders and goalkeepers. After last night Giorgio Chiellini even said that Harry Kane is on the same level as Messi and Ronaldo.
At the age of 24 England fans will be hoping that the young superstar can be their talisman and lead England to some international glory and Spurs fans will be hoping for something similar on the domestic front. Kane is certainly exceeding all expectations and breaking one record after the other with some of his records listed below along with his stats while playing for Spurs.
Stats
Records:
- Most Premier League Goals in a calendar year previous Alan Shearer (36) now Kane (39).
- Most goals in Europe’s Top 5 Leagues in 2017 (56 in 52) for club and country.
- First player to score consecutive Premier League hat-tricks on two separate occasions.
- Fastest player to score 9 goals in Champions league history (9 games).
- Spurs all-time leading scorer in the premier league (101).
- Most Champion League goals in a season by an English player (7).
What do you think? Can Harry Kane win the Balon D’Or/World Footballer of the Year? What other Records will Harry Kane break? Will Kane stay at Spurs? Is Harry Kane the best striker in world football?

The dude can fucking score goals.
I just dont think he will be doing it for Tottenham for much longer.
Agreed! But where will he go? Los Blancos?
Well I think they are one of the few clubs that need a new main man and that will be willing to break records to get him.
