The English Player of the year 2017 - Harry Kane
Hello my Steem buddies, hope y'all are going great. I was away for a while as i was busy because of my exams. I hope everyone celebrated Christmas to the fullest and had lots of fun. As 2017 is coming to an end, it has been a great year for football players and their fans. Harry Kane is the name one shouldn't forget in 2017. It has been an amazing year for him as he overtook Barcelona legend Lionel Messi after scoring a magnificent hattrick against Southampton last night. This is the first time in eight years that a player finished the year as the top scorer and the player is neither Messi nor Ronaldo. It is a significant achievement for Kane. Messi and Cristiano are dominating names in the football world as everyone recognizes them immediately. The Tottenham striker has a total of 56 goals for both Club and Country competitions. 52 for Tottenham and 4 for England. He has 8 hattricks which is more than any other players this year. After Kane, Messi is second with the most goals(54) followed by Cristiano Ronaldo (53) alongside Bayern Munich Striker Robert Lewandowski and PSG forward Edinson Cavani. He also broke Alan Shearer's record for most Premier League goals in a single calender year. Alan congratulated Kane on twitter said he deserved to win. I think he will achieve more in the coming years, it's just starting.
I hope we will witness great moments in football next year as FIFA World Cup is just 5 months away.

England has the habit of crumbling at major tournaments. They just can't handle the pressure of the World Cup and they have demonstrated this most of my lifetime. Kane can't make the difference in this same as other great english players failed to do. It's a matter of mentality and not skills when it comes to major tournaments.
True though, but it'll be fun to see what they will do in the upcoming tournament.
