He's hardly a giant nor was he a troublesome fella. Far from glamorous with his looks. He never was the brand for the media to push in our faces. Never was like david beckham or christian ronaldo in that kind of sense but, boy, was he good! They say England invented football but we hardly had the pleasure off tooting the horns for any of our players but we had a certain ginger genius who we could say was as good as anybody around the world. With all due respect, he was a quiet boy, a family man, but somebody who would brilliantly execute his business. His name was Paul Scholes. There's the argument that he didn't do enough on the world stage but he wasn't utilised properly and mismanaged by a certain sven erikson. However, it was obvious that there was no better midfielder in England or in the world by the time he reached 25 years of age.

Pep guardiola once hailed him as the greatest midfielder of his generation. Ronaldhino who was arguably the greatest footballer of all time once said "i want to know how he passes like that. He taught him to do that?". So much so that Lional Messi once confirmed that the Barcelona academy use his videos to learn from his technique as he quotes "At La Masia (Barcelona’s Academy) his name was mentioned a lot. He’s a teacher". The list of current footballers, former footballers, expert pundits who all showered praises in acknowledgement that this little ginger magician was cut from a different cloth is truly remarkable. If i could wish to see somebody play in his prime again then it would be Paul Scholes. He was such an unbelievable player with a medal collection as heavy as a bin on collection day. The little man was a footballing genius!
