Ramsey Signs Pre-contract With Juventus

Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract with Italian champions, Juventus for a move to Turin in the summer.

After passing a two-part medical, Ramsey has agreed a four-year deal with the Old Lady which will see him earn £400,000 weekly, the highest basic salary earned by a British player ever.

The 28-year old's contract with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2019 and he would be leaving Arsenal for free, ending his 11-year spell with the North London club.

Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008 for a fee of £4.8 million but Arsenal will not be receiving any money when he leaves in the summer.

Players who are in the final six month of their contracts in England are allowed to enter a pre-contract with clubs outside the league.

He also held preliminary talks with Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain with Inter Milan and Real Madrid also interested but opted for Juventus in the end.

The Welshman was offered a new contract at Arsenal last September but turned down the offer due to failure to meet his salary demands.

Ramsey also loves to play in the "8" position whereas Unai Emery doesn't deploy an 8. He would rather play Ramsey in a deeper No 10 role.

In his 11 years at Arsenal, he has made 259 appearances and scored 61 times. His highest return in a season was 16 goals in all competitions in the 2013/2014 season.
