During his stint as coach of Real Madrid, the 56-year old former FC Porto manager was accused to have evaded tax around the region of €3.3 million.

Although his representative company, Gestifute first dismissed the news when it was leaked by popular whistle blowing site, Football Leaks, the former Madrid coach has accepted to have committed tax fraud and a rectified deal was struck earlier today.

Mourinho would however not serve time in jail as the sentence is below two years which according to Spanish laws only requires one to serve a suspended jail term.

The former Manchester United boss coached Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013 but the crime was alleged to have been committed during the 2011/2012 season.

It would be recalled that in the last two years, his former players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo have been found guilty and charged for tax fraud as well as Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
