The duo alongside Barcelona's Philipe Coutinho will miss the friendly matches against Uruguay and Cameroon.

Marcelo got injured in the 5-1 Classico bashing by Barcelona where he score his team's only goal.

He has been replaced by Juventus left back, Aleix Sandro who gets a chance to make a name for himself in the squad after failing to out Marcelo from the World Cup squad.

Coutinho is struggling with a hamstring injury that has also ruled him out and would be unable to add to his 45 caps for Brazil. He has been replaced in the team by Renato Augusto.

Casemiro thought he could shake off his injury by the turn of the week after coming off injured in Real Madrid's 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo but has been replaced by Barcelona's Rafinha.

The Selecao will take on South American rivals, Uruguay at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 16th November before facing former African champions, Cameroon four days later.
